WONDERFUL WORLD OF BATIK

In the Wood

Imagine me on the terrace of my mom’s house.
I paint this little bird with paraffin and dipping into paint layer by layer it is evolving in front of your eyes.
And I speak  . . .in English . . .woohoo

(I had a little accident the same day I started to make the videos at my Mom’s house you may see the little blue mark under my mouth,
I fall off the stairs, so sorry about that)

If you go through the videos you will see step-by-step how this bird was born and if you make it after me, nothing will keep you back to create more and bigger paintings as well.

This is our ready painting.

What materials do you need?

  • paraffin (white candle)
  • paint for fabric
  • brush cheap not synthetic – you will dip into the hot paraffin, will not good for painting than
  • linen fabric (the best is an old cotton sheet – it is better the more it was washed)
  • hot plate iron
  • many many newspapers
  • small color theory
  • patience
  • large doses of creativity
  • airy spaced room, or more pleasant to paint outdoor
  • clothes you wear what you don’t mind to be dirty

Caution:

The paraffin is hot, so if you love to work with your children be careful with the hot!

According to my experiences an 8 years old child has been sufficiently serious to prevent exposure incident.

My girls was 6 when they created beautiful paintings.
